Cartagena city
The city of Cartagena was founded by the Carthaginian Asdrúbal, successor of Amilcar Barca, father of Hannibal, in the year 229 BC, with the name of Qart Hadasht (New City in Punic), on a previous Iberian or Tartessian settlement, traditionally identified as Mastia.
